We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Front of House Team Member to join our vibrant team. The Mitre is the newest and most exciting pub in Glastonbury, serving a diverse menu ranging from local steaks to flavoursome vegetarian and vegan dishes, an extensive cocktail menu and fantastic wines.
Duties
As a Front of House Team Member, your responsibilities will include:
Greeting and seating guests in a friendly and efficient manner.
Taking orders accurately and ensuring timely service.
Assisting with food preparation and maintaining cleanliness in the kitchen area.
Upselling menu items to enhance guest satisfaction and maximise sales.
Providing excellent guest services by addressing any inquiries or concerns promptly.
Collaborating with kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations during busy periods.
Managing time effectively to ensure all tasks are completed efficiently during shifts.
Skills
To excel in this position, you should possess the following skills:
Strong culinary knowledge to assist with food preparation and menu understanding.
Proven upselling techniques to enhance guest experience and increase sales.
Excellent hospitality skills, demonstrating a genuine passion for serving others.
Experience in guest services within a restaurant environment is advantageous.
Basic maths skills for handling transactions and managing orders accurately.
Effective time management skills to balance multiple tasks during peak hours.
A willingness to help colleagues and contribute positively to team dynamics.
