Following a significant investment, we've launched Bistro-23, - our brand-new dining experience that blends the relaxed charm of a Cotswold kitchen with the confidence of a modern bistro. With a focus on local sourcing and honest cooking, we're quickly becoming a must-visit for both locals and visitors.
We're now seeking an exceptional Food & Beverage Manager to take the reins of our restaurant, bar, and events service - a leader who brings not only demonstrable hospitality expertise but a true passion for food and communication. About the Role
This is more than just an F&B role. At Bistro-23 we are on a journey to become the go to choice for locals and visitors alike and we need someone who can build a team and bring our vision to life
As Food & Beverage Manager, you'll:
Oversee all F&B operations across Bistro 23, our bar, and private event spaces
Lead and support a passionate team, fostering a service style that's warm, confident, and knowledgeable
Understand the dishes, cooking methods, and ingredient sourcing - and ensure you and the team can clearly and confidently communicate this to guests
Work closely with the kitchen team and Head Chef to stay updated on specials, preparation techniques, and ingredient provenance
Make strong, clear decisions - with an eye on both service excellence and commercial performance
Lead from the front with a hands on approach and excellent customer relationship skills
About You
You're an experienced F&B leader with a strong front-of-house presence and deep respect for the kitchen. You believe great hospitality is about making guests feel seen, heard, and excited about what they're eating.
You'll bring:
Proven F&B management experience in a high-quality hotel or restaurant
Strong culinary knowledge - from cooking methods to sourcing and provenance of ingredients
Confidence in communicating dishes, explaining preparation techniques, and recommending pairings or dietary adaptations
Excellent wine knowledge and enjoy recommending food wine pairings and discussing wine provenance
A natural coaching style, helping team members grow in knowledge, confidence, and warmth
Calm, organised leadership - with a keen commercial mindset and high attention to detail
A love for hospitality and a genuine desire to deliver memorable guest experiences
What We Offer
Competitive salary of 35,000 - 45,000, depending on experience
Live-in accommodation available
Full-time position: 5 days out of 7, approx. 50 hours per week (rota-based)
28 days holiday including bank holidays
