Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Food Service Worker to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing exceptional food service in a fast-paced environment. You will assist with food preparation, maintain cleanliness in the kitchen, and ensure that all food safety standards are adhered to. Your ability to work collaboratively with other team members while delivering outstanding hospitality will be essential to our success.

Duties

Assist in the preparation of food items according to established recipes and portion sizes. Maintain high standards of food safety and hygiene throughout the kitchen and dining areas. Help serve meals and beverages to customers, ensuring a pleasant dining experience. Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently while adhering to operational guidelines. Keep the kitchen and dining areas clean and organised, including washing dishes and utensils as necessary. Engage with customers to provide excellent service, including upselling menu items when appropriate. Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations during busy periods. Perform basic maths for portion control and inventory management as required.

Skills

Proficiency in food preparation techniques and understanding of food safety regulations. Experience in a kitchen or restaurant environment is advantageous but not essential. Strong time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a busy setting. Excellent communication skills with a focus on hospitality and customer service. Basic maths skills for accurate measurements and inventory tracking. A positive attitude with a willingness to help others and work as part of a team. Ability to adapt quickly in a dynamic environment while maintaining attention to detail.
