Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Food Service Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in delivering exceptional guest experiences by providing high-quality food service in a fast-paced environment. This position involves various responsibilities, including food preparation, serving, and ensuring compliance with food safety standards.

Duties

Prepare and serve food items according to established recipes and portion sizes. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen and dining areas. Ensure adherence to food safety regulations and hygiene standards at all times. Assist in the preparation of ingredients, including washing, chopping, and cooking as required. Provide excellent guest services by taking orders accurately and responding to customer inquiries. Upsell menu items to enhance the dining experience for guests. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure efficient service during peak hours. Perform basic math calculations for order processing and inventory management.

Skills

Previous experience in the hospitality or restaurant industry is highly desirable. Strong understanding of food safety practices and regulations. Basic culinary skills with an emphasis on food preparation techniques. Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently. Ability to provide outstanding guest services with a friendly attitude. Experience in upselling techniques to maximise sales opportunities. Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a team environment. Kitchen experience is an advantage, along with familiarity with various kitchen equipment.
