Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Food Service Worker to join our team in delivering exceptional dining experiences. This role involves assisting with food preparation, serving guests, and maintaining high standards of food safety and cleanliness. The ideal candidate will have a passion for hospitality, excellent time management skills, and a friendly demeanour to ensure guest satisfaction. Previous experience in a restaurant or catering environment is advantageous but not essential, as training will be provided. This position offers an opportunity to develop culinary and customer service skills within a dynamic team.

Responsibilities

Prepare and serve food and beverages in accordance with established standards and safety regulations Assist with food presentation and plating to ensure visual appeal Take orders from guests accurately and efficiently, providing friendly and attentive service Maintain cleanliness of workstations, dining areas, and kitchen equipment throughout shifts Ensure compliance with food safety protocols at all times Upsell menu items to enhance guest experience and maximise sales opportunities Manage time effectively during busy periods to serve guests promptly Support colleagues in various tasks to ensure smooth operation of the service area

Skills

Previous experience in hospitality or restaurant settings is preferred but not mandatory Knowledge of food safety standards and proper handling procedures Ability to perform basic food preparation tasks with attention to detail Strong organisational skills with excellent time management abilities Good communication skills for effective guest interaction and teamwork Basic maths skills for handling transactions and order accuracy Experience in guest services with a friendly, professional attitude Ability to upsell menu items naturally to enhance the guest experience Kitchen or culinary experience is a plus, demonstrating familiarity with food preparation techniques
