Overview


We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Food and Beverage Team member to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible to deliver a courteous and friendly service to the guests of the Hotel in line with the standard operating procedures of the Hotel.

Duties



To take the orders accurately from guests and enter the order into the Micros terminal. To have a good knowledge of Food & Beverage operations, the menu (food & beverages) and standard operating procedures within the outlet To ensure that correct operating standards are adhered to in order to achieve the level of service established in the Departmental Operations Manual. To assist in the preparation of sufficient and clean, operating equipment prior to the commencement of service. To collect and deliver orders from the back-area/kitchens and serve them according to the standard operating procedures of the Hotel To control the stocking of operating equipment in the stations during service, and ensure that the station is maintained in a clean and tidy manner at all times. To clear and re-lay the tables accordingly. To collect any stores when required. To greet and seat guests if and when necessary. To cashier when necessary. To have a complete understanding of the Hotel's Employee Handbook and adhere to the regulations contained within. To respond to any changes in the department as dictated by the needs of the industry, company or hotel operation. To be flexible and extend job duties to carry out any other reasonable duties and responsibilities within the job capability as assigned, including redeployment to alternative departments/areas if required, to meet business demands and guest service needs. To attend training sessions and meetings as required. To be fully conversant on telephone skills, standards and procedures. To be fully aware of the work schedule and ensure adequate notice is given in circumstances when prevented from adhering to the schedule.

Experience



Previous experience in a restaurant or kitchen setting is preferred but not essential. Basic maths skills are necessary for handling transactions and managing inventory effectively. A background in hospitality is desirable. Knowledge of food safety practices is highly desirable, ensuring that all food handling meets industry standards.
