DIMENSIONS OF ROLE



Normal working hours will be 5 shifts of 9 hours rostered between Monday to Sunday, including one-hour unpaid lunch on each day worked; making a total of 40 working hours per week.

KEY PURPOSE OF ROLE



The primary purpose of this role is to support the kitchen team with the efficient receipt of goods and effective stock control, ensuring all supplies meet operational requirements and quality standards. The Food Logistics Supervisor will play a key role in achieving budgeted financial targets and maximising business potential through careful management of resources and distribution processes. The role will ensure that all departmental food distribution operates seamlessly to meet the needs of the Club, particularly in relation to Major Match Days, maintaining the high standards expected at MCC.

KEY TASKS AND ACCOUNTABILITIES

Goods receiving and distribution



Responsible for acceptance and control of all incoming deliveries of food items, kitchen disposables. Verify quantities and quality of items against purchase orders, delivery notes, or invoices. Carry out checks of all delivered goods to ensure correct quantities, weights, specification, shelf life and quality. Monitor and record the temperatures of fridges, freezers, and food deliveries in accordance with MCC procedures, and report any discrepancies. Check the condition of food delivery vans to ensure they conform to health and safety standards. Manage any immediate delivery issue through the appropriate channels. Direct any "non kitchen" deliveries to correct departments of the Ground. Ensure that all food is handled in line with Hygiene standards and goods received and delivered. Ensure that the food storage areas are kept clean, tidy and organised at all times and that cleaning schedules are completed. Supervise distribution of food stocks to satellite areas. Ensure all unused stock is returned from satellite areas. Revise and introduce necessary controls & systems to ensure smooth running of goods in and distribution area. Pass all completed food safety records to the Food Safety Manager.


Stock Control



Follow the "first in, first out" system of stock rotation and highlight any slow-moving stock items that need to be used to the kitchen team. Carry out regular stock checks, dispose of any food that has passed its "used by" date and record accordingly. To ensure storage and labelling procedures are followed. Manage supplier returns and incorrect delivery issues. Develop and maintain strong working relationship with nominated suppliers. Carry out monthly stock takes. Report any stock control discrepancies. Work with the financial guidelines as direct by the Food PurchasingManager. Track internal transfers and food wastage.

Training and staff management



Ensure attendance at all relevant meetings Train, manage and motivate casual work force within the goods in and distribution team to achieve the highest possible standards. Complete iHasco Health and Safety and Food Safety training within required timescale.

Attendance at all major match-days, including weekends, as required. Any other duties, whether in the Department or elsewhere around the Ground, as required.

Comply fully with relevant security policies and procedures. Be familiar with fire procedures and evacuation procedures and be prepared to operate when/if trained as a Fire Warden

PERSON SPECIFICATIONS - SKILLS, EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS



Previous experience in goods in and stock control. Knowledge of stock control systems and procedures. Good understanding of logistics and working of multi- site operation. Food safety level 2. Well organised, attention to detail and analytical. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Self-motivated and the ability to work independently. Ability to work in fast-paced environments. Experience of training and manage a team of casual workers. Team orientated and able to work effectively under pressure. Good understanding of Microsoft Office.
