We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Food Runner to join At The Taru, a modern British Cuisine. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring that our guests receive their meals promptly and efficiently, contributing to an exceptional dining experience. This position requires strong communication skills and a passion for hospitality, as you will be the vital link between the kitchen and the dining area.

Duties

Deliver food and beverages from the kitchen to guests in a timely manner, ensuring accuracy and presentation. Assist in the preparation of meals, including plating and garnishing dishes as required. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the dining area, including clearing tables and resetting for new guests. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations during service periods. Uphold food safety standards by adhering to hygiene practices in meal preparation and delivery. Provide excellent guest services by responding to inquiries and ensuring customer satisfaction. Assist with inventory management by reporting low stock levels of food items or supplies. Support servers by providing additional assistance during busy periods, ensuring all guests are attended to promptly.

Experience

Candidates should possess a background in hospitality or related fields. Preferred experience includes:

Restaurant experience with a focus on guest services. Kitchen experience or culinary training, demonstrating familiarity with food preparation techniques. Delivery driver experience is advantageous for understanding logistics in food delivery. Barista experience is beneficial for those working in establishments serving coffee or beverages. Strong communication skills are essential for effective interaction with both guests and team members. Knowledge of food safety regulations is crucial to maintain high standards of hygiene.
