Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Food Runner to join the team of a renowned Italian restaurant. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring that our guests receive their meals promptly and efficiently, enhancing their dining experience. As a Food Runner, you will work closely with the kitchen and front-of-house staff to deliver exceptional service in a fast-paced environment.

Duties

Deliver food and beverages from the kitchen to the dining area in a timely manner. Ensure that all orders are accurate and presented beautifully before serving to guests. Assist with setting up and clearing tables, maintaining cleanliness throughout the dining area. Communicate effectively with kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations during service. Support waitstaff by refilling drinks, providing additional utensils, and responding to guest requests. Adhere to food safety standards and hygiene practices at all times. Assist with meal preparation as needed, ensuring high-quality presentation and taste.

Skills

Strong hospitality skills with a passion for providing excellent guest services. Experience in food preparation and knowledge of food safety regulations. Previous experience as a delivery driver or in a similar role is advantageous. Familiarity with cooking techniques and culinary practices is beneficial. Background in restaurant, hotel, or kitchen environments preferred. Barista experience is a plus, particularly for establishments serving coffee or specialty drinks. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with strong phone etiquette. Ability to work well under pressure while maintaining attention to detail. A team player who can collaborate effectively with colleagues across various departments.
