A foot health practitioner is someone who provides routine foot care and maintenance to people's feet. It is a very rewarding job that enables you to help people in your local community and reap the financial benefits available. As part of the job, a foot health care practitioner will assess the condition of a patients feet and supply the appropriate treatment.
Responsibilities and Duties
You will provide routine foot care and maintenance to peoples feet in various settings including nursing, residential homes and peoples own houses. Nail cutting, removing hard skin, removing corns and proving wound care are fundamental duties. Record keeping, making patient notes and providing dignified and confidential care are essential.
Qualifications and Skills
All qualifications and training can be provided and the successful applicant will need to have or attain the following qualifications:
Level 3 minimum but level 4 preferable
DBS certificate must be provided
Insured as a Foot Health Practitioner
Willing to travel to different locations
Be able to work as part of a team
Salary and Benefits
8 - 40 hours a week
Part time, permanent with some flexible working
