Youth worker

To be responsible for supporting youth club session - Boys Football Academy Sunday Evenings, 2 hours per week (term time only).

This role could also cover the Boys Youth Group Friday Evenings, 2 hours per week (term time only)

Supporting the delivery of specific programmes of activities/ projects for young people.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities

Youth Activities

To establish contact and build sustainable working relationships with young people to encourage and motivate their participation in the youth club. To support the planning and delivery of agreed programmes of activities/programmes with young people which is active and fun as approved by the Project Manager. To support the development of specific programmes of youth work aimed at promoting and ensuring the personal and social educational needs of young people are identified and met. To ensure activities are set up prior to sessions starting and cleared away after sessions finish To provide administration and supervision of young people during football training and practice. Assist in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with other relevant agencies involved in the provision of services to support young people. Assist in liaising with community groups and external organisations when required to raise awareness of Youth Work provision within the local areas of Banbury. To take responsibility for the health and safety of young people, for the safeguarding of premises, furnishings and equipment, and also for the collection and recording of monies received in accordance with guidelines and instructions where appropriate. To attend supervision meetings and annual appraisals and to contribute to staff meetings and training courses as required This role is subject to an Enhanced DBS check

Qualifications and Experience

A minimum of one year working face-to-face with young people - this can be from a voluntary position

Experience of working with youth groups and clubs





Job Type: Part-time

Pay: 13.39 per hour

Expected hours: 2 per week
