Salary 20,500- 41,000 per year dependant on position.

1000 bonus when completed 12 months service (500 for PT).

Full time - this entails fixed shift working in a team rota pattern of 4 shifts on and 4 days off: 06:45 to 19:00 for 2-day shifts followed by 2-night shifts of 18:45 to 07:00, Rolling rota available 2 years in advance.

Part time - this entails fixed shift working: 06:45 to 19:00 for day shifts and night shifts of 18:45 to 07:00, working in a team rota pattern of 2-day shifts on, 8 days, 2 nights, 4 days off. Rolling rota available 2 years in advance.

Average estimated overtime 3500 per annum

NMC/HCPC Registration paid

No previous forensic experience required as full training will be given.





The role requires the flexibility to work not only in your base Custody suite but across an assigned region in the Police Custody Suites and Force area.




Experience: Essential:



RN, RGN or (RMN with dual registration):2 years post qualification - Band 5 minimum



Paramedic 2 years post qualification.



Minimum of 2 years post qualification experience in a patient-facing role within a relevant field: General Practice, A & E, Emergency Medicine, acute medicine, Walk in Centres, Substance Misuse Services, Prison Healthcare or Ambulance Service



Driving Licence (required)



Must have RTW in UK, Lived in UK British Passport or ILR for 3 years + no gaps out of country more than 3 months



All candidates will be subject to Police Vetting

What does the role involve?





The custody suites can be an energetic place to work, with no two shifts the same. Whilst detained, we provide individuals with all their physical, mental healthcare and wellbeing needs, as well as gather any forensic samples needed by the police to aid their investigations. Making careful records on our computerised systems, you'll be assessing whether people are fit to be detained or released, administering medications when needed, and working with local Liaison and Diversion teams to address root cause issues that can prevent future crime.
