New Year, New Job! Join Our Team as a Forest & Garden Machinery Mechanic

Are you ready to kick-start the new year with a fresh opportunity? We're looking for a skilled and enthusiastic Forest and Garden Machinery Mechanic to join our growing team!

As our Machinery Mechanic, you'll be responsible for the maintenance, service, and repair of a wide range of equipment, including chainsaws, lawnmowers, brushcutters, hedge trimmers, compact tractors, and more. You'll diagnose issues, perform high-quality repairs, and ensure our customers' tools are operating at their best.

This is a full-time, permanent position primarily based in our workshop, with some off-site work involving machinery repairs, deliveries, and collections.

We are approved dealers for Stihl, Husqvarna, Mountfield, and Ego, as well as choice dealers for Ferris and Etesia commercial products.

Responsibilities

Perform routine maintenance and repairs on forest and garden machinery and equipment. Troubleshoot mechanical issues efficiently to minimise downtime. Collaborate with the operations team to ensure machinery operates at optimal levels. Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities. Assist in the installation of new equipment and upgrades. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations. Support continuous improvement initiatives within the workshop. Respond promptly to emergency repair requests.
Qualifications

Proven experience as a Mechanic or similar role. Strong knowledge of mechanical systems and troubleshooting techniques. Ability to read technical manuals and schematics. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Good communication skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team. Relevant technical certifications or qualifications are preferred.
Previous mechanical experience is essential; however, industry-specific training will be provided through a range of dealer courses and in-house development opportunities. The role is

Monday to Friday, 8am to 5pm

, working within a close-knit team of five mechanics.
