Maxy Farm nursery is our newest setting and offers a unique Early Years experience for children aged 3 months to 5 years old. The vision for children and families at Maxy Farm has been to create a vibrant environment were seamless early learning both inside and outdoors promotes investigation and creative thinking. Building on the Ashbridge ethos children develop their independence, meet challenges with confidence and learn to take risks in a secure and atmosphere. Our site includes an outdoor kitchen garden, bespoke sensory room, 'atelier' art studio, adventure play areas, library, and expansive outdoor grounds including a forest area which will be led by the successful applicant.

THE FOREST LEAD ROLE:
Due to the ongoing growth and development of the organisation, Ashbridge Nursery at Maxy Farm has a unique and exciting opportunity for an experienced and enthusiastic Level 3 qualified Forest Leader. Each of our truly individual sites has an Outdoor Lead to develop and embed our ethos of Outdoor learning and exploration for all of our children.
We are inviting experienced practitioners with a level 3 qualification in Forest School Leader to join our high quality, dynamic and progressive Outdoor Lead team.

WHAT WILL YOU BE DOING AS A FOREST LEAD?
You will be responsible for planning and carrying out exciting forest sessions that inspire our children aged 2-4 years old. These sessions should support play, exploration and supported risk taking, for the holistic development of each child.
You will be liaising with the Early Years Forest School Leader, to share good practice and ideas.
To be responsible for the overall leadership and management of the forest school area at Maxy Farm
To ensure effective communication with the Nursery Management Team, outside agencies and other relevant parties to the staff team within the nursery setting

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR:
An experienced Forest School Lead with at least 1 year in a post of a similar nature
Level 3 Forest School Lead qualification (or equivalent) with supportive First Aid
Strong communication skills - both written and verbal
Ability to use initiative to inspire children
A passionate, nurturing and creative approach
A love of the outdoors!
Proven outdoor creative lead experience

This role meets the requirements in respect of exempted questions under the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974.
