Job Description

We are looking for a Forest School Assistant.

Responsible to: Forest School Leader, and Heads of the Schools with responsibility for Forest School

Hours of work: 8 hours per week Wednesday 08:00-16:00.

Start date: From 4th March

Forest School Assistant

We are looking for an enthusiastic and reliable

Forest School Assistant

to support the delivery of engaging outdoor learning sessions for children.

Working alongside the Forest School Leader, you will help create a safe, fun and nurturing Forest School environment where children can explore, learn and develop confidence through nature-based play.

Key responsibilities include:



Supporting the preparation and delivery of Forest School sessions Encouraging children and promoting positive behaviour and routines Helping maintain a safe and engaging outdoor environment Assisting with activities, observations and site set-up/pack-down Following all policies and procedures, including safeguarding and health & safety Administering basic first aid when required (within training)

About you:



Enjoy working with children outdoors in all weathers Have an interest in nature, conservation and environmental care Are physically fit, reliable and able to work as part of a team Share the Forest School ethos and child-led approach to learning

Desirable (or willingness to train):



Forest School training (Level 2 or 3) Adult & Paediatric First Aid Level 2 Food Hygiene
Training opportunities may be available for the right candidate.

Full UK driving licence and own transport
