Job Overview

To operate various types of Forklift Trucks (MHE) to assist the flow of stock across the distribution centre in line with business requirements

Key Responsibilities

• To move stock across the Distribution centre to relevant area\'s and / or high bay racking.
• To pull and move merchandise from high bay racking to satisfy Distribution Centre targets.
• Ensure all stocks that are moved to and from specific locations are scanned to be 100% compliant to scan audit (as applicable per site)
• Adhere to all scan procedures as trained.
• Ensure all tasks are performed accurately, efficiently and that time deadlines are met.
• Achieve and maintain pre-set performance targets whilst maintaining accuracy.
• Take individual responsibility for the maintenance of housekeeping standards in the work area.
• Ensure Health and Safety standards are adhered to and that any problems are highlighted to your supervisor.
• Use all MHE equipment in accordance with Company guidelines.
• Carry out checks on any MHE prior to use and report any defects to line manager
• To undertake any other reasonable duties in line with the needs of the business

Key Skills, Knowledge & Experience

• Experience of driving FLT\'s in a team within a warehousing, logistics or distribution environment - within despatch or shipping departments would be desirable
• Some knowledge of handheld or truck mounted computer terminals advantageous.
• Be able to demonstrate a high level of literacy and numeracy to maintain a variety of accurate records.
• Ability to prioritise work efficiently and achieve measurable targets.
• Basic computer skills.
• To have an awareness of Health and Safety
• Organisational control of work area to enable fast efficient processing of merchandise in a safe manner.
• Willing to undertake duties within site guidelines and be able to follow work instructions.
• Be able to liaise and operate with all levels of staff.
• Self-motivated, self-confident, and enthusiastic.
• Flexible and adaptable with a willingness to learn and be open minded.
