Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Forklift Operator to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for efficiently handling materials, operating forklifts safely, and supporting warehouse management activities to include scanning, printing labels and checking manifests. This role requires a strong focus on safety, mechanical aptitude, and the ability to manage goods in a fast-paced environment. Prior warehouse experience of loading groupage consignments on standard and double deck trailers are highly desirable.

Duties

Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment to load, unload, and move goods within the warehouse Assist with shipping and receiving processes, ensuring accurate documentation and inventory control Handle materials with care, ensuring safe stacking Labelling pallets Scanning pallets in and out to locations Conduct safety inspections of equipment before use to prevent accidents or malfunctions Maintain a clean and organised work environment to promote safety standards IT Skills to update systems

Qualifications

Valid forklift licence with proven experience in operating forklifts safely Experience working within a warehouse environment, including shipping & receiving tasks Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) Ability to handle heavy lifting safely and efficiently Strong understanding of materials handling procedures and safety protocols Good organisational skills with attention to detail Physical fitness to perform manual tasks throughout the shift Basic IT skills

40hrs per week - 10:00 until 19:00 (1 hr unpaid break)
