Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Forklift Operator to join our warehouse team. The successful candidate will be responsible for safely and efficiently handling materials, operating forklifts, and supporting shipping and receiving activities. This role requires a strong understanding of warehouse operations, mechanical aptitude, and adherence to safety protocols to ensure smooth logistics flow within our facility.

Duties

Operate forklift and other warehouse equipment to load, unload, and transport goods within the facility Manage materials handling tasks, including stacking, organising, and relocating stock as required Assist with shipping and receiving processes, ensuring accurate documentation and inventory control Conduct basic maintenance and minor repairs on equipment to ensure optimal operation Utilise warehouse management systems to track inventory movements and update records accurately Support the organisation of storage areas to optimise space utilisation and safety standards Perform manual handling tasks involving heavy lifting in accordance with health and safety guidelines Collaborate with team members to meet daily operational targets efficiently

Requirements

Valid forklift licence with proven experience operating various types of forklifts Experience working within a warehouse environment, with knowledge of warehouse management systems preferred Mechanical knowledge for equipment repair and troubleshooting minor issues Strong understanding of materials handling procedures, including load & unload operations Basic maths skills for inventory counting and documentation purposes Physical fitness to perform heavy lifting and prolonged standing or walking throughout shifts Knowledge of shipping & receiving processes to ensure accurate processing of goods Organised approach with attention to detail to maintain safety standards and operational efficiency
Job Type: Full-time

Pay: 12.58-13.46 per hour

Expected hours: 40 - 60 per week
