Mecc Alte Group requires a
TEMPORARY experienced Warehouse Operative/Forklift Driver to support the shift of 0800-1630hrs
, however some flexibility may be considered.
This temporary role is expected to be until min 31/12/2025 - subject to business needs review.
Overall Job Purpose
You will support the teams in carrying out material handler duties despatch processes.
You will provide cross-functional support/cover as and when required across all warehouse operation functions as and when workload demands.
Key Accountabilities/Role & Main Responsibilities
Duties Include:
Physical preparation and packing of customer orders,
Stock Maintenance assistance
Loading/unloading lorries,
Highlighting issues/risks with warehouse/forklift systems/processes and propose remedial action/resolutions for discussion/agreement.
Correct/Safe storage of machines and goods, ensuring Safe Working Loads (SWL) are not exceeded
Stock Location/Identification and Storage Management
The above list of duties are not exhaustive, therefore you may be asked to perform other reasonable duties as and when required to ensure sufficient running of the factory/business.

Communicating with all relevant people/departments and coordinating all relevant inputs (people and processes) to ensure service delivery output and on time delivery targets are achieved

Quality Assurance & Control:
Effective Quality Assurance/Control of Product prior to release
Reporting & Identifying Quality Issues to the Warehouse Supervisor.
Health, Safety and Environment:
Ensure and maintain compliance to the regulatory and statutory requirements of the Health & Safety at Work Act 1974 & Environmental Act, including but not limited to; codes of practice, local policies and procedures, and any other directive in the interest of safety in the workplace.
Ensure full compliance with operating regulations when using forklift trucks etc.
Husbandry - maintain a clean and hazard free working environment
Promote and monitor health and safety compliance in the workplace.
Fire Safety - ensure the workplace is safe from harm caused by fire and do nothing that will place anyone at risk.
Essential Skills and Experience for Overall Role:
Good experience of stock control dispatch processes
current valid ITTSAR accredited Reach licence essential
Copy of certificates/licence will be required as evidence. In-house certificate holders will not be considered
Experience of SAP system desirable
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
Strong organisational, communication and interpersonal skills
A problem solver and team player, also able to use initiative
Excellent communication skills

Flexible, able to work additional hours as and when required which may require occasional weekends

Remuneration and Benefits:
Attractive Salary - dependant on experience
Pro-rata Annual Profitability bonus scheme (upto 7% of salary) subject to company performance results

Hours of Work:
40 hours per week, 8 hour day (2 x 15 min breaks unpaid). Main shift 0800-1630hrs. Flexibility will also be required as and when business needs dictate occasionally to work overtime as and when required
