Job Description

We are a plastic and manufacturing plant with state of the art processing. We are looking for a dynamic and determined candidate for an exciting opportunity for a Forklift Truck driver to join our team.

We are looking experienced counterbalance Fork Lift Truck driver/Baler Operative at their busy recycling site in Hartlepool. This involves loading and unloading of trailers and containers, and assisting with baling and granulating operations. Previous experience with bale clamps would be useful although not essential. Reporting to the Yard Supervisor, you will have previous relevant experience and hold a current licence.

Responsibilities:
- Safely operate baler and forklift to move, stack, and retrieve materials
- Load and unload trucks and containers using a forklift
- Inspect and maintain the forklift equipment
- Follow safety guidelines and procedures at all times
- Keep accurate records of inventory and materials movement
- Assist with general warehouse duties as needed

Qualifications:
- Valid forklift operator certification or license
- Proven experience operating a forklift in a warehouse or industrial setting
- Strong knowledge of forklift safety procedures and practices
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals
- Attention to detail and ability to accurately record information
- Good physical condition with the ability to lift heavy objects and work in various weather conditions
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment
