Job Summary

We are seeking a Forklift Operator / Labourer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for putting orders together through the night. With a lot of manual lifting and operating forklifts and other material handling equipment within our shop. This role requires the ability to perform heavy lifting as needed. The role is fast paced and hard work and we need someone who is happy to be a labourer and forklift drive both as needed.

Responsibilities

Operate forklifts safely and efficiently to load and unload goods from lorries and storage areas. Conduct receiving operations, verifying the accuracy of shipments against packing lists. Perform routine inspections on forklifts. Maintain an organised work environment, adhering to safety protocols and regulations. Utilise basic maths skills for inventory management and record-keeping purposes. Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of task.

Qualifications

Proven experience as a Forklift Operator and Labourer. Ability to lift heavy loads consistently throughout the shift. Strong communication skills and the ability to work well in a team-oriented environment. A valid forklift operator's licence is essential.
Role is based at Smithfield Market but also candidate could sometimes be required to travel to Dagenham as we have a unit there too.

Pay: From 18.00 per hour
