Job Description
We are looking for a reliable and experienced
Hod Carrier / Fork Lift Driver
who also holds the relevant qualifications to operate a forklift on a construction site. This is a dual role that involves assisting bricklayers and site operations while also carrying out forklift duties as needed.Key Responsibilities:
Carry bricks, mortar, and materials to bricklayers across the site Mix mortar to the correct consistency Load and unload deliveries using a forklift Safely operate telehandler or counterbalance forklift (depending on site requirements) Assist with general labouring tasks including site clean-up and material handling Follow all health and safety regulations and site rules
Requirements:
Previous experience as a hod carrier and/or general labourer on construction sites
Valid CSCS card
Valid CPCS or NPORS Forklift Licence
(ideally for aTelehandler
- CPCS A17 or NPORS N010) Physically fit and comfortable with manual handling tasks Able to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment Good understanding of site health and safety proceduresDesirable:
Own PPE (hard hat, high-visibility clothing, safety boots) Ability to drive to site (own transport is an advantage) Additional tickets or site qualifications (e.g. Manual Handling, First Aid)
