Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Warehouse Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient operation of our warehouse. This position involves various tasks related to materials handling, shipping and receiving, and maintaining a safe and organised work environment.

Hours of work will normally be 1300-2300, but if all tasks are finished before this then the shift will end. If the shift over runs you will be expected to stay until all tasks are completed.

Duties

Load and unload goods from lorries, ensuring all items are handled safely and efficiently. Perform shipping and receiving tasks. Conduct regular equipment checks ensure all machinery is in good working order. Utilise forklifts and other equipment for moving heavy items around the warehouse. Handle materials with care, adhering to safety protocols to prevent accidents. Maintain a clean and organised workspace, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations. Assist in inventory counts and report discrepancies as necessary.

Experience

Previous warehouse experience is highly desirable, with a strong understanding of warehouse operations. Familiarity with warehouse management systems is advantageous for efficient stock management. Basic math and English skills are required for accurately counting inventory and processing shipments. Ability to perform heavy lifting as needed, with a focus on safety practices during all physical tasks.
