Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and efficient Warehouse Worker to join our team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our warehouse by handling various tasks related to materials management, shipping, and receiving. This position requires physical stamina, attention to detail, and a commitment to maintaining a safe working environment.

Duties

Load and unload goods from lorries and containers, ensuring items are handled safely and efficiently. Operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment for the movement of materials within the warehouse. Perform regular inventory checks and maintain accurate records using a Warehouse Management System. Assist in the shipping and receiving processes, verifying that all shipments are correct and undamaged. Conduct basic equipment repairs as needed to ensure all machinery is functioning properly. Handle heavy lifting tasks, ensuring proper techniques are used to prevent injury. Utilise basic maths skills for counting inventory and measuring materials as required. Maintain a clean and organised work area, adhering to health and safety regulations at all times.

Requirements

Previous experience in a warehouse environment is highly desirable. Proficiency in operating forklifts; relevant certification is an advantage. Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to perform basic repairs on equipment. Experience in materials handling, including loading and unloading goods safely. Ability to lift heavy items consistently throughout the shift. Familiarity with Warehouse Management Systems is beneficial but not essential. Basic maths skills for inventory management and material measurements. A proactive attitude towards safety and teamwork in a fast-paced environment.
