Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Forklift Driver/Warehouse Worker to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient operation of our warehouse, contributing to the smooth handling of materials and inventory management. This position involves a variety of tasks that require physical stamina, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety.

Duties

Load and unload goods from lorries and containers, ensuring safe handling of materials. Operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment to transport items within the facility. Perform heavy lifting as required, adhering to safety protocols at all times. Assist in the shipping and receiving processes, verifying incoming and outgoing shipments against documentation. Maintain an organised warehouse environment, ensuring that all items are stored correctly and accessible. Conduct routine equipment checks Perform basic maths calculations for inventory management and order processing.

Qualifications

Previous experience in a warehouse setting is preferred but not essential. Strong skills in materials handling. Ability to operate forklifts safely; certification is a plus. Physical capability to perform heavy lifting tasks consistently throughout the shift. Basic mechanical knowledge for equipment maintenance and repair tasks. Good numerical skills for basic maths calculations related to inventory management. A proactive attitude towards safety and teamwork within a busy warehouse environment.
