Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Forklift Driver / Yard Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining the efficiency of our yard operations, ensuring that vehicles are loaded and unloaded properly and equipment is in good working order. This position requires physical stamina, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Duties

Operate a Counter Balance Forklift to unload Vehicles. Maintain an organised yard by ensuring that materials are stored correctly and safely. Utilise a warehouse management system to track inventory levels and assist with stock management. Conduct regular inspections of equipment and yard areas to identify any safety hazards or maintenance needs. Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow and adherence to safety protocols.

Qualifications

Previous experience in a warehouse or yard environment is preferred. Proficiency in operating a Counter Balance forklift; certification is needed. Basic maths skills for inventory management and record keeping. Ability to lift heavy loads regularly, demonstrating physical strength and stamina. Experience in materials handling, shipping, and receiving processes is beneficial. A proactive attitude towards safety and a commitment to maintaining a clean work environment. Valid Driving Licence and own form of transport. Experience loading and unloading Vehicles is desired.

Hours and Pay

Monday to Friday 7:00am - 5:00pm 13.50ph
