Job Summary

To transport large metal beams/metal product throughout a busy production floor to aid the flow of production and ensure that the fabrication team have the necessary product to complete work set within scheduled time allocated.

Hourly rate:

14.00-15.00

Hours of work:

Monday - Thursday 8AM-5.15PM, Friday 8AM-2PM
Weekly overtime at an enhanced rate.

Key

Transport large metal product throughout a busy production floor to aid the flow of production Ensure product is delivered to fabrication teams within scheduled time allocated. Remove all packaging from metal to ensure it is ready for the next stage in production Transport finished product to designated areas within the factory and store safety until needed for the next stage of production/delivery to customer. Ensure all transportation of product is actioned in a safe manner following Company Health and Safety guidelines. Ensure the safe loading and off-loading of vehicles collecting and delivering to and from the production department

Essential

2+ years' previous experience driving a forklift within a manufacturing/structural steel environment. 2+ years' recent experience driving a side loader in a manufacturing/structural steel environment. Experience using a forklift truck to move heavy, large and awkwardly shaped components. Forklift license counterbalance B1 & B2 Experience having the ability to work under your own initiative Work as a team player to achieve customer quality, delivery and cost requirements. Strong knowledge of Health & Safety regulations when operating a forklift
