Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Forklift Operator to join our dynamic warehouse team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating various types of forklifts and heavy equipment to facilitate the efficient movement of materials within our distribution center. This role requires a strong understanding of warehouse operations, safety standards, and effective materials handling.

Duties

Operate forklifts, clamp trucks, and pallet jacks to load and unload materials safely and efficiently. Perform order picking using RF scanners to ensure accurate fulfillment of customer orders. Assist in shipping and receiving processes, ensuring all materials are accounted for and properly documented. Maintain a clean and organized work environment while adhering to OSHA safety regulations. Collaborate with warehouse management to optimize workflow and improve operational efficiency. Conduct routine inspections on equipment to ensure proper functioning and report any mechanical issues. Support heavy lifting tasks as needed, ensuring safe handling practices are followed at all times. Participate in training programs related to heavy equipment operation and warehouse management systems.

Qualifications

Previous experience in warehouse distribution or as a forklift operator is preferred. Familiarity with order picking processes and shipping & receiving operations is advantageous. Knowledge of OSHA regulations related to warehouse safety is essential. Mechanical knowledge related to equipment operation and maintenance is a plus. Experience with RF scanners and warehouse management systems is highly desirable. Ability to perform heavy lifting and operate various types of heavy equipment safely. Previous experience in construction or as a warehouse supervisor can be beneficial but is not required.
