Role Description

We are looking for a full-time Forklift Truck Driver to join the team at Huntingdon Timber Supplies. This role is a crucial part of a busy yard team picking loads, loading and unloading our vehicles and those of our customers and suppliers. Duties include keeping the yard clean and tidy, maintaining a high standard of presentation and stock rotation. You will also be expected to report any health and safety issues, and to check and defect plant and machinery daily.

The successful candidate will have all the relevant counterbalance licenses and have a minimum of 2 years' experience of a similar role, ideally in a Builders Merchant. They will also be team players with a positive outlook and have a real focus on customer service.

Hours: 7am-5pm Mon-Fri, 8am-12pm alternate Saturdays

Holiday: 21 days per year plus Bank Holidays

Requirements

Forklift certification and experience operating a forklift Experience working in a Builders Merchant is an advantage Ability to lift heavy objects and stand for long periods of time Good communication and organisational skills Attention to detail and accuracy Ability to work independently and as part of a team Knowledge of safety regulations and procedures Eligible to work in the UK

Pay: 30,793.00 per year
