Responsibilities

Operate hand tools, power tools, and specialised equipment to complete construction and repair tasks. Apply mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot issues and perform maintenance on machinery or structures. Engage in carpentry work, including measuring, cutting, and assembling timber or other materials. Assist with roofing projects, ensuring safety standards are maintained throughout. Perform heavy lifting safely to move materials or equipment as required on-site. Conduct masonry work, including laying bricks or blocks with precision. Drive commercial vehicles when necessary for transporting materials or equipment between sites. Follow health and safety protocols diligently to ensure a safe working environment at all times.

Experience

Proven experience in welding, carpentry, roofing, masonry, or related trades is highly desirable. Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and mechanical systems is essential. Previous work involving heavy lifting and physical labour is preferred. Experience operating commercial vehicles such as lorries or vans will be considered an advantage. Knowledge of safety standards relevant to construction or maintenance environments is important. Candidates should demonstrate strong organisational skills and the ability to adapt quickly to different tasks.
