Job Description

Our client requires a Client Based Forwarder in the Reading area.

You will provide a freight forwarding service and customer support, directly on one of their client's sites. This position is a standalone position and requires a lot of working alone so requires someone who can hit the ground running and has over 10 years' experience within the freight sector.

The role is export based and will require someone with good administration and organisational skills.

Duties

Completion of end-to-end forwarding activities as the individual role requires. Completion of Dangerous Goods paperwork for all modes of transportation Work closely with internal and external customers while focusing on customer service Ensure all documents are kept up to date and completed by their deadlines. Customs Entries Resolve queries from customers and suppliers. Remain in contact with customers and suppliers to maintain relationships. Assist sales and management with customer development.
Skills

Thorough understanding of customer needs Knowledge in of the international transportation and logistics industry, in export Air, Sea and Road operations. A knowledge and understanding of financials and impact on business. A Good knowledge of IT systems and processes used in the transport sector. IATA qualification and pass the exam every 2 years.
This is a permanent position, working Monday to Friday.

The salary will be between 32,000 - 34,000 per year.
