Foundation Apprenticeship (Children and Young People) Tutor/Assessor Overview

: This is a

part-time term time only

post. We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Tutor/Assessor to join our team. As a Foundation Apprenticeship Tutor/ Assessor, you will be responsible for assessing and supporting learners in achieving their Foundation Apprenticeship qualification in Children and Young People. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of young people who are aspiring to work in the childcare sector and/or to gain the metaskills which will support their future career aspirations.

Qualifications:

- Educated to a minimum of SVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Children and Young People or related field with good literacy skills. You need to hold an Assessor qualification (e.gD32/D33, L&D9) or be willing to work towards obtaining one . You will have proven and significant experience working within the childcare sector, preferably in a supervisory or managerial role . Excellent knowledge of assessment procedures are required along with the ability to support candidates of all abilities.

Responsibilities

: - Deliver the taught part of the course to secondary school students. You will conduct assessments of learners' competence and knowledge in line with NPA and SVQ standards. You will provide guidance and support to learners throughout their qualification journey. You will develop and maintain positive relationships with learners, employers, and other stakeholders . Tutors ensure assessments are carried out efficiently and effectively, adhering to quality assurance guidelines . You will require to have good organisational skills in order to maintain accurate records of assessments, progress, and feedback . Collaboration with colleagues is key to continuously improve assessment processes

Pay: 4,923.00-9,846.00 per year

Expected hours: 7.5 - 15 per week
