SVQ Assessor (Children and Young People) Overview:
This is a
part-time term time only
post. We are seeking a dedicated and experienced SVQ Assessor or someone who is keen to work towards their assessor award on the job. . As an SVQ Assessor, you will be responsible for coaching, supporting and assessing learners in achieving their SVQ qualifications in Children and Young People. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a positive impact on the professional development of individuals in the childcare sector. In addition to being able to work and manage your work load independently, you will need to be a strong team player.
Qualifications:
- Educated to a minimum of SVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Children and Young People or related field with good literacy skills. You need to hold an Assessor qualification (e.gD32/D33, L&D9) or be willing to work towards obtaining one . You will have proven and significant experience working within the childcare sector, preferably in a supervisory or managerial role . Excellent knowledge of assessment procedures are required along with the ability to support candidates of all abilities.
Responsibilities
: - Provide guidance and support to learners throughout their qualification journey. You will develop and maintain positive relationships with learners, employers, and other stakeholders . You will conduct assessments of learners' competence and knowledge in line with SVQ standards . ur SVQ assssors ensure assessments are carried out efficiently and effectively, adhering to quality assurance guidelines. You will maintain accurate records of assessments, progress, and feedback. All our assessors keep up-to-date with industry standards and changes in SVQ requirements. You will collaborate with colleagues to continuously improve assessment processes.
