About the Role




West Ham United Football Club is looking for a dedicated and passionate

Foundation Phase Coach (Under 10s)

to join our Academy team. Working closely with the

Head of Coaching & Player Development

and the

Lead Phase Coach

, you'll play a key role in delivering high-quality coaching sessions, developing young players, and supporting their overall growth -- on and off the pitch.

Key Responsibilities



Plan, deliver and review engaging training sessions in line with the Academy's coaching philosophy and curriculum. Lead or assist on match days, providing feedback and reviewing individual and team performances. Support and update player Individual Development Plans (IDPs) throughout the season. Record training and match data via the Football Intelligence Platform (FIP). Attend Academy CPD events and take ownership of your own professional development. Promote and uphold the values of The West Ham Way: Hard Working, Exciting, Attitude +, Respect, and Togetherness. Ensure player welfare, safeguarding, and compliance standards are always met.

UEFA B Coaching Certificate (essential) Experience coaching within a youth or Academy environment (desirable) Strong communication and mentoring skills A genuine passion for developing young talent and upholding the highest standards
