Founding Engineer (includes Funded Accelerator In Sf)

Paddington, ENG, GB, United Kingdom

Job Description

We are backed by one of the most well-known VC firms in the world. The successful candidate will be invited to join us for a fully-expensed three-month residency in San Francisco at the start of the new year.

Human progress has always been driven by communication. Now, for the first time, machines can participate - and it changes everything.

We're building the next evolution of how people and organisations communicate and coordinate. By combining cutting-edge AI with human-centred design and quantitative social science, we're creating the future of work -- where intelligent systems take on the burden of coordination, freeing people to focus on deep, meaningful work.

We are a small elite team and are led by a unique, diverse group of Oxford and MIT scientists with world-leading experience. We can't say much more publicly yet, but here's what you should know:

Our mission:

To reinvent how teams connect, collaborate, and create impact together: eliminating the friction, overload, and miscommunication that slow people down.

Our product:

AI-powered, behavioural science driven collaboration tech used by early design partners at forward-thinking organisations.

Our culture:

Relentlessly curious, execution-driven, and human-first. We value deep thinking, rapid iteration, and making beautiful, intuitive tools.

What you'll do:

Build, ship, and own end-to-end features

across our modern stack.

Work directly with the founders

(Oxford/MIT backgrounds, AI & product design expertise) to turn ambitious ideas into elegant, working code.

Shape the core architecture

for scalability, security, and speed as we grow from prototype to product.

Collaborate with design

to create experiences that feel seamless and delightful.

Push the frontier of agentic AI

and be part of building a generational company.

You'll thrive here if you want to:

Engineer the Future

: Bring

professional full-stack experience

(React, Node.js, TypeScript, PostgreSQL) with a

strong CS education

.

Write code that lasts

: You know when to ship fast and when to engineer for scale without getting lost in over-engineering.

You expertly use AI coding tools as a force multiplier, not a crutch.

Own your work end-to-end:

You're comfortable moving fast in ambiguity, learning from feedback, and shipping with real autonomy.

Grow with the product

: Your voice will directly shape architecture, features, and culture as we scale.

Be a builder at heart

: You love to hack, experiment, and learn, and you're excited by the hard work and unique opportunities of an early-stage startup.

We're looking for hackers who can manually write elegent code, but have mastered the use of AI coding tools - so for them, AI is not a crutch, it's a force multiplyer.

Nice to have (but not necessary)

Experience with AI APIs, LangChain, or real-time collaboration tools. Startup or zero-to-one build experience. Experience in UI/UX interaction design. Experience with deployment and building your own projects. Interest in behavioural science, psychology, or workplace culture.

Why join us now?

Work on a mission with meaningful societal impact. Collaborate directly with the founders -- your work will shape the core product. Significant early-stage equity potential. Rare chance to join at the ground floor of a venture-backed company before launch.
