I am the founder of an early-stage AI SaaS startup currently in development mode. We are building an innovative solution to personal management. We are seeking a foundational team member to help bring this vision to life.

Role Description

This is a full-time hybrid role for a Founding Mobile & Software Engineer. The position is based in the London/Basildon area, with a requirement of being on-site a minimum of four days per week. As the first engineer, you will be responsible for the end-to-end development of our mobile application and supporting software. Day-to-day tasks will include designing architecture, writing code, debugging complex issues, and collaborating closely with the founder on product strategy. This role requires a commitment beyond a typical 9-to-5 schedule and a genuine passion for building a new venture from scratch.

Qualifications & Mindset

Technical Skills:

Proficiency in Mobile Application Development, with strong experience in iOS Development

. Solid background in general

Software Development

and principles of

Object-Oriented Programming (OOP)

. Experience working across the full product lifecycle, from concept to deployment.

Mindset:

Entrepreneurial spirit and a high degree of personal ownership.

Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to navigate uncertainty. Willingness to work hard and commit fully to the success of the startup. Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively as a founding partner. A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field is preferred but not required for candidates with exceptional experience.

Compensation & Opportunity

Important Note:

This is a founding engineer role in a pre-funding startup. The compensation package is heavily weighted towards equity.

Compensation:

The successful candidate will receive a substantial equity stake in the business, reflecting their foundational contribution. There will be little to no initial salary.

Commitment:

This is a full-time, on-site focused role. It is not suitable for part-time work, remote-only candidates, or those primarily seeking a salaried position.
