What you will do As FP&A Analyst you will be responsible for all financial planning, reporting and analysis matters across the United Kingdom & Ireland 5 operational businesses as we look to consolidate the Finance Planning & Analysis team in Manchester. Reporting to the Financial Planning & Analysis Director, this role will be ideally suited to individuals looking for a Management Accountant position that is more than just month end. The position will provide excellent opportunities for strategic and operational exposure, with the role having a dotted line into the Business Unit Finance Manager and will provide financial insight into operational decisions. How you will do it

  • Support to the Business Unit Finance Manager who will also provide guidance and mentoring.
  • Business Partnering with the operational leadership teams to provide regular reports on business performance, including commentary and recommendations.
  • Business Partnering with operational leadership teams to monitor plan / outlook performance.
  • Ensuring regular communication with key partners and building rapport with them.
  • Assisting the Business Finance Manager in preparing monthly management accounts / reports for the key partners.
  • Be the point of contact for internal and external audit queries.
  • Operational reviews of project costings, debt reviews and risk management.
  • Monthly monitoring of Trade Working Capital.
  • Continuous improvement in reporting and analytics through collaboration with other Finance team members.
  • Key point of contact for any financial queries.
What we look for Required
  • Degree in Finance & Accounting or equivalent
  • Experience in FP&A and/or management accounts including preparation of financial outlooks / plans, actual variance analysis, KPI performance, operational reviews, risk management, project appraisals, journal preparation and review, reporting etc
  • Strong IT skills including Microsoft Office, data modelling (Excel, Power Query)
  • Autonomous, self-starter and self-motivated attitude
  • Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail and levels of accuracy within analysis
  • Excellent written skills with the ability to provide financial insight to partners.
Preferred:
  • Studying towards a professional accounting qualification (ACCA, ACA, CIMA or equivalent)
  • Power BI, SQL and OneStream knowledge
