Description of the Business Unit
Jaja is a growing FinTech requiring an experienced hands-on Credit Card Fraud & Financial Crime Team Leader to join their growing Fraud and Financial Crime team.
About The Role
Supporting the Head of Fraud & Financial Crime in making sure that Fraud Operations have access to the right tools, systems, processes, and training to ensure Fraud & Financial Crime related concerns are handled in a timely manner and to high standards. Your guidance will be vital in supporting the team in safeguarding our customers and the business from criminal activity through close collaboration with our MLRO, Fraud Strategy and other business areas.

We are looking for someone with Fraud experience and knowledge, to manage a high performing Fraud and Financial Crime team of agents. We are looking for a candidate with the right attitude, ethos and knowledge to be successful and are happy to receive applications from team leaders who have experience at both managing people and fraud processes. The successful candidate will have a flair and passion for delivering exceptional customer and commercial results, providing high quality coaching, training and ongoing support to their team.

The successful candidate must have the right to work in the UK and meet the following criteria:
Key Accountabilities
Day to day support and prioritisation of team deliverables
Set, track and influence core KPI's
Recruitment and development of the team, including resource planning
Influencing fraud strategies by working closely with Fraud Strategy leads
Working closely with MLRO and other business stakeholders to ensure processes and SLAs are in line with regulation and dealt with adequate to levels of urgency
Understanding of regulatory requirements and adhering to policies and procedures or prompting for the definition of these where they do not yet exist with a consistent focus on documentation and automation where possible
Understanding the quality of operational execution and plug any gaps through training and upskilling of investigators
Keeping up with latest fraud and financial crime trends
Support investigations of complex fraud cases
Understanding impact of fraud and financial crime processes on customer experience and drive overall satisfaction
Support Head of Fraud & Financial Crime in creation of strategic roadmap for digitisation
Championing fraud & financial crime awareness within the company and for our customers
Managing people and HR related processes

Essential skills and Experience
3+ Years experience working in Fraud or Financial Crime
Understanding of credit card user journeys from onboarding to transaction authorisations and e-servicing, and links to fraud and financial crime
Experience using CIFAS NFD & IFD
Experience of managing people and people related processes
Knowledgeable on AML, due diligence and KYC requirements including SARs
Desirable skills and experience
Experience managing internal and external teams
Knowledgeable on
regulations that apply to the credit card market Understanding of fraud and financial crime strategies
Understanding of bureau data and tools as well risk engines such as ThreatMetrix or Iocation
