UCL Campus Experience and Infrastructure is responsible for managing the delivery of a Campus Experience Strategy, working with the Estates Development team to support an investment programme in excess of 1bn over the next ten years.

About the role

This role will manage our external speaker events policy and processes, which is key to enabling Commercial Services to balance our responsibility to enable and protect freedom of speech within the law with our fundamental charitable purpose to deliver for the educational benefit of our community and society.
In addition to supporting Commercial Services to deliver external speaker events for their communities, this role will ensure that Commercial Services is able to demonstrate its proactive approach to promoting freedom of speech and academic freedom on campus.

About you

To do this job you'll need:
To be educated to degree level, or equivalent experience
A track record of assessment & writing risk assessments, and taking responsibility for risk mitigations
Proven experience of process management and improvement
Experience of working across teams and managing projects and processes that involve multiple stakeholders
Experience of seeking and securing resources to aid the development of a project
Experience of leading on the relationship management of key partners and stakeholders
Experience of managing budgets, ensuring that projects are delivered within agreed expenditure
Knowledge of the legal framework surrounding Freedom of Speech in the UK
Knowledge and understanding of contemporary international conflicts and politically sensitive national and international events
Knowledge and understanding of UK Charity law, including Students' Union's roles and responsibilities as charitable organisations
