Job description

Greener Consultants is a freelance CAD agency predominantly focused on construction and legal drawings such as planning drawings and land registry plans. Due to increasing demand we are looking to use an ad-hoc freelance CAD designer to complete drawing work during busier times so it should be clear that this isn't a permanent position and is just for additional help when required.

Our most frequent customers are looking for land registry compliant plans and very often require measured surveys of varying existing property types but mainly residential, and then drawing these up in 2D on AutoCAD. The chosen candidate must feel comfortable performing measured surveys alone on our behalf that would be suitable to draw up into floor plans and also sometimes elevations.

The candidate must have good experience of producing full suites of planning drawings and must have their own equipment and software to complete the work. The candidate would be based in Bristol with transport to travel for measured surveys which are usually reasonably local (Bristol, Bath, Weston-Super-Mare etc).

Another suitable skill would be 3D rendering of residential properties as this is a common request and also if you have experience producing Building Regulations drawings this would be a bonus.

We would also like to see examples of work or a portfolio, including any:

floor plans and elevations measured survey work planning drawing work rendered 3D visualisations legal plans examples
As mentioned, this would be sporadic work, it could be no work one month and 3-5 projects the next month but could grow to more work if the candidate is successful. The projects would be for a fixed price so once an enquiry comes in, we would assess how long the job would take and let you know the fee for the work.

Hourly rate would be 25-30 per hour depending upon experience.
