Job Overview

We are seeking a qualified, experienced, and flexible Driver Trainer to join our team. The ideal candidate must possess a strong background in commercial driving with the ability to effectively communicate and train new drivers. This role is crucial in ensuring that drivers are well-prepared to operate various vehicles safely and efficiently. This role will involve working away from home throughout the week, accommodation will be provided.

Responsibilities

Conduct comprehensive training sessions for new drivers, focusing on safe driving practices and vehicle operation. Assess trainees' driving skills and provide constructive feedback to enhance their performance. Ensure all training complies with industry regulations and company policies. Maintain accurate records of trainee progress and assessments. Communicate effectively with trainees to clarify instructions and address any concerns. Stay updated on the latest industry standards, mechanical knowledge, and safety protocols.

Qualifications

Proven experience in commercial driving. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively train and motivate new drivers. Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while also being self-motivated. Prior experience in a training or mentoring role is essential. A valid driving licence appropriate for the vehicles being trained on is required.
