Freelance Health & Safety Trainer - SSSTS / SMSTS

We are looking for an experienced freelance Health & Safety Trainer to deliver CITB SSSTS (Site Supervisors' Safety Training Scheme) and SMSTS (Site Management Safety Training Scheme) courses.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in construction site safety management, excellent communication skills, and the ability to deliver engaging, compliant training in line with CITB requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Deliver SSSTS and SMSTS courses to a high standard, following CITB delivery requirements and quality assurance procedures. Create an interactive, professional learning environment that promotes understanding and retention. Support learners through assessment and provide constructive, detailed feedback. Maintain accurate records of delivery, attendance, and assessment outcomes. Liaise with our internal quality team to ensure consistency and compliance.
Qualifications & Experience Required

Recognised Health and Safety qualification such as NEBOSH General Certificate, NEBOSH Construction Certificate, or equivalent. Approved CITB Tutor status for SSSTS and/or SMSTS courses (or eligibility to gain approval). Teaching qualification such as PTLLS or Level 3 Award in Education and Training (AET). Excellent understanding of current construction health and safety legislation and best practice. Strong presentation, communication, and organisational skills.
Additional Information

Freelance position - work assigned on a course-by-course basis. Training delivered at client sites or approved training venues nationwide. Competitive day rate plus expenses.

Pay: 250.00-450.00 per day
