Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Freelance Quantity Surveyor to join our dynamic team working on high-profile structural and residential projects in Central London. You will play a key role in ensuring cost efficiency, quality, and timely delivery across a range of exciting developments, including luxury residential builds and complex structural refurbishments.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare accurate cost estimates, budgets, and bills of quantities for structural and residential projects. Manage procurement processes, including tendering and contract negotiation with subcontractors and suppliers. Conduct cost control, monitor project expenditures, and provide regular financial reports. Assess and manage variations, valuations, and final accounts. Collaborate with project managers, architects, and contractors to ensure project milestones are met. Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and health & safety requirements. Provide expert advice on cost-saving measures without compromising quality.
Requirements

Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor in structural and residential construction projects. Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and regulations in the UK. Proficiency in industry-standard software (e.g., CostX, Bluebeam, or similar). Excellent analytical and negotiation skills with a keen eye for detail. Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects under tight deadlines. Relevant qualifications (e.g., Degree or Diploma in Quantity Surveying, RICS accredited preferred). Based in or able to commute to Central London.
