clover london is a small, independent bridal wear brand based in Parsons Green. We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented seamstress/machinist to join our team on a freelance basis to support our bespoke/in-house alterations offering. The ideal candidate will have a passion for sewing and a keen eye for detail, ensuring that all gowns meet our high standards of quality. This role is essential in supporting our bespoke/alterations process (not production) and requires a combination of technical sewing skills and the ability to work with brides.

Duties

Operate sewing machines and other equipment to construct, repair, or alter garments and textiles. Produce toiles for bespoke garments. Follow patterns and specifications to ensure accurate measurements and fit. Inspect finished products for quality assurance, making adjustments as necessary. Maintain a clean and organised workspace, ensuring all tools and materials are stored properly. Collaborate with our pattern cutter/designer and production team to meet deadlines while maintaining high-quality standards. Assist in inventory management by tracking fabric and material usage within the studio.

Qualifications

Proven experience in sewing, with a strong understanding of different fabrics (especially silk)and techniques. Excellent attention to detail and the ability to work independently Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively. A creative mindset with problem-solving abilities related to garment construction and alterations. We are a small team with an incredible community of brides. We do offer bespoke/alterations services at the moment, but this role would support hosting on site at our showroom as opposed to at our production space. It would require working super intimately with our designer and brides - with more clients this role could very easily expand to full time.

Job Types: Part-time, Freelance

Pay: 14.00-20.00 per hour
