At Asap Cargo we specialise in freight logistics and have offices in the UK and Ireland working with industrial, retail, and corporate clients nationwide delivering bespoke international freight management solutions.

Our service is built on global experience and hands-on execution, from collection, storage, delivery, warehousing, and onward distribution. We are currently seeking an experienced Freight Account Manager to join our Customer Services team in Middlewich.

The Freight Account Manager will play a key role in managing and growing our client accounts, ensuring seamless communication, and providing solutions tailored to our client's logistics needs.

Responsibilities will include:



Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients to understand and anticipate their logistics and transportation needs. Primary contact for personally assigned client accounts, providing prompt and professional support. Monitor account performance and client satisfaction, proactively addressing any issues. Communicate regularly with clients to update on delivery ETA's, address queries and provide accurate information. Liaise internally with other departments to ensure a high level of service and timely delivery of shipments. Proactively identify and resolve any issues that may arise with shipments, working to create quick, effective solutions for our client. Escalate issues when necessary and follow up to ensure client satisfaction.

Ideal Candidate will have:



Proven experience as an account manager or in a similar client-facing role, preferably in freight or logistics. Strong understanding of freight and the logistics industry.
Understandably, your communication skills need to be second- to- none. We will also be looking for an applicant that can demonstrate a talent for solving problems, attention to detail and an ability to thrive under pressure.

Computer literacy is essential to this position, and we do prefer candidates to have had experience in a similar role and a flexible, adaptable approach to their work.

Experience in a logistics related software is preferred but not essential as in-house training will be provided.

Hours



Monday to Friday 8.45am - 5.15pm
