We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented
Freight Forwarder
to join our logistics team. In this role, you will coordinate and manage the movement of goods by sea and land. You will be responsible for ensuring shipments are delivered efficiently, cost-effectively, and in compliance with international trade regulations. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, excellent communication abilities, and experience working in the logistics or freight forwarding industry.
Key Responsibilities
Plan, coordinate, and manage international and domestic shipments.
Arrange transportation with carriers, shipping lines, and trucking companies.
Prepare and review shipping documentation, commercial invoices, and customs declarations.
Track and monitor shipments to ensure timely delivery.
Handle import and export customs clearance processes.
Provide clients with shipment updates, documentation support, and cost estimates.
Negotiate freight rates and secure competitive pricing with service providers.
Ensure all shipments comply with trade regulations, Incoterms, and company policies.
Proactively resolve shipment delays, damages, or other logistical issues.
Maintain accurate records of shipments, rates, and communication.
Requirements
Previous experience in freight forwarding, logistics, or transportation would be preferable
Good understanding of shipping processes, Incoterms, and customs regulations.
Excellent organizational and multitasking skills.
Strong communication and customer service skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and freight/logistics management software.
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
