We are seeking an enthusiastic and engaging

French Teacher / Supervisor

to run a weekly after-school

French Club

at a primary school in

Rochester

. This role gives children the opportunity to explore the French language through fun, interactive activities while building confidence in speaking, listening, and cultural understanding.

The club runs

Tuesdays, 3:15pm - 4:15pm (1 hour per week).

Key Responsibilities

Lead and supervise a small group of primary-aged children in beginner-friendly French activities. Plan and deliver enjoyable, age-appropriate sessions that develop vocabulary, pronunciation, and simple conversational skills. Encourage confidence, curiosity, and enthusiasm for learning a new language. Maintain clear communication with school staff and, where relevant, parents regarding children's progress. Ensure all resources and the teaching space are organised, safe, and ready for each session.

Experience & Skills

Experience teaching French to children in schools, clubs, or similar settings. Ability to motivate and engage children in a structured yet enjoyable way. Strong English communication skills for working effectively with children, parents, and school staff. A background in language teaching, education, or French studies is desirable.
Job Type: Part-time

Pay: 32.00 per hour

Expected hours: 1 per week
