From Parent to Classroom: Flexible SEND TA - Part?Time, September Start

Summary

A welcoming?specialist school in Whitehaven is seeking two dedicated part?time SEND Teaching Assistant to start in September. Flexible hours make this role ideal for parents seeking work-life balance. This long?term temporary role has potential to become permanent.

The Role

You will support pupils with special educational needs--working one?to?one and in small groups to implement individual education plans (IEPs), assist with literacy and numeracy tasks, encourage social and emotional development, and promote independence in the classroom.

The School

The school has a strong ethos of inclusion and is committed to supporting learners with a wide range of needs, including ASC and anxiety. Staff work collaboratively with the SENCO to ensure pupils progress academically and socially in a calm, nurturing environment uk.

Hours

Monday to Friday, term?time only, from 8.30?am to 3.30?pm. You can choose part?time hours to fit parental responsibilities.

Safeguarding children is an integral part of what we do and we have a stringent safer recruitment process. We undertake checks on all the candidates we work with. As such we require a current Enhanced DBS Disclosure for everyone working in Schools. If you do not have a subscription to the DBS Update Service, you may be required to complete a new DBS application as part of the registration process. If you take a temporary role with Sense Education you will be paid on a weekly basis. All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position but long term. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available.
