Responsibilities

Greet customers warmly and take their orders accurately, ensuring a positive first impression. Provide knowledgeable recommendations on menu items, including special dietary options and daily specials. Assist with food preparation and serving, maintaining high standards of food safety and hygiene at all times. Handle transactions efficiently using the point-of-sale system, including upselling additional items to maximise sales. Ensure timely delivery of orders from the kitchen to the table or counter, coordinating effectively with kitchen staff. Maintain cleanliness and organisation within the service area, adhering to health and safety regulations. Address customer queries or complaints promptly and professionally, striving to resolve issues to their satisfaction. Support team members during busy periods, demonstrating flexibility and teamwork.

Requirements

Previous experience in food preparation, restaurant service, or similar hospitality roles is preferred. Knowledge of food safety standards and proper hygiene practices. Strong organisational skills with excellent time management abilities. Basic maths skills for handling transactions accurately. Experience with serving or working in a kitchen environment is advantageous. Culinary experience or food preparation skills are desirable but not essential. Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail. Friendly demeanour with excellent communication skills and a customer-focused attitude.
