We are seeking an experienced and efficient Counter Staff Member to join our expanding team.
This role involves takeaway food and deserts, desert shop experience is advantageous but not essential
The ideal candidate will be responsible for taking incoming calls, handling food orders, and maintaining a clean and organised work environment. Previous experience in a takeaway/restaurant is essential.
Responsibilities
Take customer orders accurately and efficiently at the counter, over the phone and via delivery machines
Prepare simple desert items and assist with the overall smooth running of the food business.
Ensure food safety standards are maintained at all times
Handle cash transactions and operate POS systems with basic maths skills
Maintain cleanliness of the counter area, including wiping surfaces and sanitising equipment
Manage time effectively during busy periods to minimise wait times for customers
Experience
Previous experience in restaurant or takeaway service is essential; training on POS systems will be provided
Experience in serving customers with a friendly demeanour and good communication skills
Basic maths skills for handling cash transactions accurately
Strong time management skills to prioritise tasks efficiently and maintain high levels of customer satisfaction
